Webb14 feb. 2024 · LDN 1235: Dark Shark Nebula - posted in Experienced Deep Sky Imaging: Hi all, Here is a recent shot of the Dark Shark Nebula located in Cepheus. Its fairly dark and I could use more integration to counter the noise, but its a bit late as it sets near the roof at sunset. Nevertheless an interesting target and surely look like a shark. WebbIncluding smaller dust nebulae such as Lynds Dark Nebula 1235 and Van den Bergh 149 & 150, the Shark nebula spans about 15 light years and lies about 650 light years away toward the constellation of the King of Aethiopia (Cepheus).
