WebDec 23, 2016 · I have a P-38 Lightning recumbent and despite owning a couple of BBSHDs I was never tempted to install one. Putting so much weight out front by my feet did not seem like a good idea. Instead I went with a hub motor and a 20 ah battery behind the seat to center the mass. It seems to work as the bike handles like a sports car!
