Web6 aug. 2024 · Currently camping and on the net with the portable running off a 12V leisure battery. On this trip I have used ethanol, from B&Q, in lieu of methylated spirits for the first time. It works fine and there does not seem to be any difference. Bottle states it is suitable for spirit burners and it seems to be right.
