Discussion Starter · #1 · Jan 6, 2010. so we had a little mishap at the pump last night, my guy opened the back of the skidsteer (to get access to the diesel cap, and instead of opening the diesel cap, opened the hydraulic fluid cap, and the resevoir was filled with diesel!!! (damn case for putting both caps in similar areas ... WebApr 11, 2007 · Posted April 7, 2007. does not hold much oil ,just clean it out good ,then put in new oil and run it until hot and change a 2nd time with filter and it will be okay . easiest way to keep water out is to keep tractor inside ,it seems all old tractors leak water into the diff/trans when kept outside. 6.9k. After finding a improperly installed and damaged seal and installed a new one im now left with a terrible amount of water in the system. The tractor runs Hy-tran case fluid and it hold 9 gal.
