I resolved it by going into the service mode (holding up and down) arrows while powering up the printer, may be different of course for your printer model) and then there is somewhere a maintenance option to run the black toner motor (or other color). That worked for me. WebJul 8, 2012 · Apologies for delayed response. This is my Mother's laptop/printer, and I have only just been able to get back over to her. I have given the printer 3 x regular cleans, and 2 x 'Deep' cleans. I have also replaced both the colour and the black ink cartridges. I have also checked the printer settings. All appears OK.
